I see there is a league of legends part of warzone, but it is probably on EU servers am I right?

The first tournament(s) will probably be EU, indeed. We are trying to sort a way to combine EU and US matches but it's pretty hard.

Any idea is welcome.

Like DC said its hard to mic those two continents in a tournament. IF we could gather enough NA players there's always a possibility to organize a NA tournament.

I think it currently has 50-60 heroes available for play. It's only in "beta" because it's still missing 5-6 heroes from the original dota.

It already has professional tournaments up and running for it though...

And "that game" happened to provide all of the basic groundwork for LoL...

After playing Dota and LoL, I can say Riot ripped off most ideas from dotas, including champion artwork and spells.

One prime example is Magnus and Hecarim are pretty much the same thing. Both half horse half human, and have a spell that knocks back the opponent a long distance.

You make it sound like i disrespect 'that game'. I dont.

Riot games consist out of ex-workers from Blizard in the DotA Branch. And yes, Dota is the foundation of LoL.

But i personally prefer LoL at the moment, why? Because i enjoy playing it and i dont want to start all over again with a game. And there are some features in Dota wich i dont really like.

If you want Dota tournaments you will need to contact Vash or Dc.

I wasn't insinuating that at all... language barriers >.<

The game technically is still in "beta".. that's why I put the quotations.. but in reality it is a fully functional game that is ready for tournament play.

I missunderstood you then, language barriers can be a female dog.

Is Dota played much? Considering the amount of player wich play LoL, Dota has alot of competition to work with.

According to the Dota statistics website there have been 3.1 million unique players this month. I have no clue how many that is relative to LoL.

Thats a good number, i actually have no clue so i searched it up.

These were the statistics from 11/11/11
